…have you ever dreamed your book of wedding memories?
This is the time of the year when I look back and remember all the amazing things that have happened during the last twelve months. This is when I catch myself whispering, “Oh, my God… Did all this actually happen?”
The feeling is always the same and I grow more and more grateful every year. It’s hard to put it into words… Sometimes I just can’t believe all the wonderful things that happen in my life. Maybe this can be put down to my upbringing: I was raised to be content with little and expect little, so when something good happens I am filled with gratitude. I don’t do it on purpose; it’s a spontaneous reaction that forms part of my character.
Wedding Memories of 2015
So, now I feel thankful for the great year that has just ended. I am blessed to have a loving family that supports me in every possible way and I am also thrilled & honored to have had the chance to meet all those awesome couples… They are the reason behind every happy moment!
A week ago, during a skype conversation that I had with a lovely couple about a wedding that is to take place in Italy next year, Ben told me something that impressed me greatly. He said, “You are addicted to happiness”. I remained silent for a long minute and thought about it. Yes, he was right. This is absolutely true! I have grown used to experiencing so much happiness and emotional fulfillment in every wedding celebration I attend that I can definitely say that I am in love with what I do! It’s not only about photography, it’s also about communicating with others, expressing your feelings, sharing precious moments with them and making them happy through capturing these very moments. And believe me, there is no better feeling than when you know you have made someone happy!
I really want to thank each and every couple that has allowed me to be part of their celebration, and I would like to extend my thanks to next year’s couples too! Santorini, Mykonos, Costa Navarino and all the other incredible destinations I travelled to within 2015 will always hold a special place in my heart because they have been permanently linked with unforgettable memories and people who are now dear to me. I just know that the destinations that await me in the new year (such as Tuscany – Italy, and Paris – France) will be equally memorable additions to this list. And I am looking forward to everything good and exciting 2016 will bring!
