Sophia Luxury Suites: Romantic Elopement in Oia

Sophia Luxury Suites, Oia. Just the perfect place for an intimate wedding in Santorini!

Words just can’t describe how I feel towards this beautiful couple; the love and trust I received from them was more than I could ever expect… From the very first moment I met Christie & Ryan I felt that we were on the same page and I knew that we would get along amazingly well, which is fundamental for a successful photoshoot. They traveled all the way from the USA to elope in Santorini, one of the world’s most romantic islands, famous for the wild beauty of its volcanic landscape, its picturesque whitewashed villages and its magical sunsets. With the help of the very talented team of Stella and Moscha, who planned every single detail perfectly, the lovely couple experienced their elopement just as they had dreamed it.

The Wedding at Sophia Suites, Santorini

The private wedding ceremony took place under blue skies and a bright sunshine at a terrace of Sophia Suites overlooking the caldera cliffs of Oia and the azure waters of the Aegean. Both the bride, who was dazzlingly beautiful in her exquisite wedding gown and her Jimmy Choo shoes, and the groom, who looked very handsome in his dark blue suit, were clearly moved. After the exchange of the vows, they danced their first dance as a married couple to the melodies played by a harpist. All the essential ingredients for a great photoshoot –a lovely, perfectly matched couple, a serene atmosphere with love flowing in the air, and a jaw-dropping setting– were there; and their pictures naturally reflected all this perfection. If I was asked, however, to pick the one best representing the happiness of two people starting a wonderful new life together, I would definitely choose the one on the roof of the little Cycladic church against the backdrop of Oia and the infinity of the sea…
Dear Christie & Ryan, thank you once again for allowing me to share this unforgettable experience with you. My heart is still with you in Santorini!
