There is nothing more adorable than a sweet young couple who travel half the world to come to a magical place like Santorini and spare no time and effort to live the unique experience of a romantic elopement against a backdrop of infinite skies and the dazzling Aegean blue. Connee and Meg, one of the sweetest couples I have ever met, had long been dreaming of eloping in beautiful Santorini, one of the top wedding destinations in Greece.
When we first discussed their wedding vision via Skype, I was impressed by their quiet, mild, unassuming disposition; they were so refreshingly simple and calm that I soon felt calmer myself! I knew it would be a pleasure to work with such kind and modest people and this was confirmed when they came from Malaysia to Santorini and I met them in person. I could instantly sense not only the deep love between them but also their natural shyness, which is an inherent part of their culture.
The Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony, simple but beautiful, just like the newlyweds, was held on a small terrace with a breathtaking view. Maria from Santo Weddings deserves the credit for the wonderful decoration with large, vividly green leaves and exotic fruit and flowers that added colourful tropical touches to the overall picture and created a very special and classy atmosphere.
The wedding stationery and invitations were created by Love Me Do along the same tropical theme, with the same fascinating colours and two graceful hummingbirds & the shooting took place in some of my favourite spots in Santorini, where I had the chance to capture the best moments of Connee and Meng’s elopement day.
