I must admit I had been looking forward to this wedding for long and with great enthusiasm. And I was right, because eventually it was a truly amazing experience thanks to this amazing young couple.
Marika and Brett came from very far away. They travelled from San Francisco to get married and celebrate the happiest day of their lives in the historical capital of Europe: Athens, Greece! I must say they immediately struck me as a very special couple: calm, easy-going and positive in every way. Watching them interact I couldn’t help thinking that they must both belong to this privileged category of people who have a genuine talent for happiness. No wonder they are so well suited!
The events started on the eve of the wedding day with a tour of the Acropolis, the highlight of Greek culture and civilization, for both families and all the guests. After the visit to the sacred rock under the bright Attic sun, there was a photoshoot in the winding streets of Plaka, the “neighbourhood of the gods”.
The next day the bride and groom’s preparations started in Astir Palace Resort, a luxury hotel surrounded by extensive gardens on a private peninsula. Marika was dazzling in her splendid simple wedding gown and her Jimmy Choo bridal shoes, and Brett was as handsome as a groom can possibly be. The wedding ceremony took place at St. Nicholas church and the wedding reception was held at Island Private House. And once again, the talented staff of White Ribbon had created a magic decoration of exquisite aesthetic beauty.
Thinking back to this whole experience I feel blessed for the opportunity to meet and work with such beautiful people as Marika and Brett. Their friendliness, kindness and trust made me feel welcome and made the photoshooting a real pleasure. Dearest Marika and Brett, thank you for everything and I wish you a lifetime of happiness from the bottom of my heart.
